@George-K It made me think of a misbehaving toddler as well. Specifically the raging toddler being carried out the grocery store and into the parking lot and to parents’ car.

@LuFins-Dad said in Dragged out of court: She’s a pastor, now. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracie_Hunter If the shoe fits. After all we have been told here in this very forum just recently in fact, that Sometimes God has used flawed men for his purposes. This might be such a case despite the very flawed human in question being a woman and person of colour. I don’t think the Abrahamic god is all that discriminatory in turning water into cheap wine any more than sows’ ears into silk purses to spread the almighty word as ecclesial community pastors.

Sure. Otherwise the number would be closer to 100% Average salary in 1990 was a little over 30k. Here a minimum wage job pays that today.

They need to simply come up with a muscle-mass adjusted measure. GFR is probably fine for most people (such as me with stage 3 CKD - thanks transplant meds!). But the more advanced muscle-mass adjusted score could be calculated for people on a wait list. Adjusting gfr based on race because ‘on average’ blacks have higher muscle mass always seemed ham fisted and anachronistic to me.

I would say that that Johnson is demonstrating a rare quality nowadays. Statesmanship and dedication to the office. Two unassailable competencies lost on many so called leading politicians of today’s world.

In case that's a tl;dw, the Baltimore principal's racist recording 89th linked to was AI generated, by the high school's black athletic director, who had a vendetta, because the principal was investigating him for financial shenanigans.

@89th said in Carol Burnett tries to stay on script: Not sure if I’m weird, but since I was a kid I really enjoyed the sitcom. The laugh track, the same house set and fake backyards. The writing always made shows witty enough to watch and often with some great/sincere scenes. Like this from Fresh Prince when Will’s biological dad shows up but bails. Trivia, you can actually hear cast members crying during this scene, off camera. Link to video Thanks for posting that, 89th. That's the proper treatment of family that all sit coms should observe, in every scene where family members speak with one another.

Heretics: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2666496823000456 In the study (Humlum et al., 2013), the authors demonstrated that peaks of cyclic changes in air and water temperature globally precede peaks of cyclic changes in atmospheric CO2 concentration (Fig. 12). This finding supports the hypothesis that, as a result of saturation processes, emitted CO2 does not directly cause an increase in global temperature. Instead, it suggests that an increase in temperature likely leads to the release of carbon dioxide from the oceans. [image: 1714223748769-1-s2.0-s2666496823000456-gr12_lrg-resized.jpg]

Yeah, I think. Look at the Dem talking points about Trump on any given weekend. How is this not a bigger story? If FOX, Newsmax, Breitbart, and various commentators and ex- politicians were discussing strategy every week and agreeing on talking points, Lester Holt or Rachel Maddow would probably be ripping their garments on air.
